Contimi Kenfack Mouafo, an electrical engineering student from Cameroon at RWTH Aachen Polytechnic, has been named “Student of the Year 2024” by the German Universities Association.
This nomination rewards his exemplary commitment through his association “3 E’s 4 Africa”, which develops innovative projects for sustainable agriculture in Africa.
Contimi’s remarkable achievements include the development of a green hydrogen-based fertiliser for small farmers in Namibia and the design of a more efficient biogas plant for farmers in Ghana. But his ambition doesn’t stop there: he is working to change the image of the African continent by combating negative stereotypes and demonstrating the immense potential of African countries.
Contimi Kenfack Mouafo’s nomination is in recognition of his commitment and the positive impact he has had on his fellow students. He will be honoured at the “German Science Gala” on 25 March in Berlin.
His exemplary career is a source of inspiration for young Africans who aspire to bring about positive change in their communities and contribute to the development of the continent.
